It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Clara Mary Bransfield of Oromocto formally of St Margaret’s NB at the age of 101. She was the last surviving member of her family.
She is survived by her daughter Karen (Kevin), grandchildren, Melody (Shelby), Justin (Melissa) and 3 great grandchildren, Logan, Lillian, and Sabriel, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Hazen Bransfield, her parents James and Alice Hackett, as well as brothers: Harold, Gerald (Peggy), Jack (Gladys), Bill (Dot), Jim (Audrey) also sisters; Sister Lillian, Margaret (Harry), Helen (Vincent), Mary (Hazen), Lucy (Terrance), and Theresa (Gerald).
Clara dearly loved her great grandchildren and spending time with them. She also enjoyed sharing stories of the past with people who came to visit. And like in true maritime fashion she loved a good cup of tea and sweets, and the local evening news.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ST Margaret’s Church/Cemetery fund.
Arrangements are in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 2pm to 4pm on November 11. Funeral service will be held on November 12, 2022, at 11:00am at St Margaret’s parish Church in St Margaret’s NB.
