It is with broken hearts that the family of Luc Rémi Manuel announces his tragic passing in the early morning of Friday, February 12th, at the age of 23.
Luc was a graduate of James M. Hill Memorial High School's class of 2015, and NBCC's class of 2016. He was a Red Seal licensed Heavy Equipment mechanic.
Luc was a generous person, a great athlete, an avid fisherman, and a brilliant mechanic with a love for anything with an engine: cars, boats, skidoos, dirt bikes... he couldn't get enough of them. Any friend who required a mechanic could count on him. Luc was a young man who savoured life. His laugh was infectious, and his smile could light up a room. He had many friends, and was always ready for his next adventure.
Luc is survived by his father Eugène, his mother Danielle, his brother Mathieu, his maternal grandmother Marie-Alma (late Edgar) Martin, and his paternal grandmother Dorilla (late Prospère) Manuel. He is also survived by the many special people in his life, notably his Aunt Zelma Martin, and Uncle Augustin Martin, his godparents Joanne Martin, and Louis Martin, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Luc is predeceased by his aforementioned grandfathers, Aunt Simonne Mazerolle, Uncle Charles Manuel, Uncle Gédéon Manuel, Uncle Aubé Manuel, cousin Marc-André Thériault, cousin Cassie Lloyd, and good friend Brandon Comeau.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the charity of one's choice in Luc's memory.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Maher's Funeral Home (773-4321), in compliance with the province of New Brunswick's Covid 19 recovery plan. Luc's family dearly apologizes to those to whom Luc was dear, who will not be able to mourn him adequately by wake or celebrate his life by funeral service.
